French Wheaten Maran

The French Wheaten Maran is a colour variation of the Cuckoo Maran. It has an attractive wheaten colour to the body with slightly darker neck feathers and black tail feathers.

They aren't as prolific layers as the Cuckoo variety, but should produce up to 180 chocolate brown eggs a year. They also have lightly feathered legs . These are hardy and attractive birds that will enhance the appearance of any flock.
